Pop-up parking with light projection
Café visitors tend to arrive by bike—and leave their bikes wherever there’s space. The result? A sidewalk full of bikes, blocking doors, windows, and footpaths.
To tackle this recurring problem, Bikenine developed a solution we’re genuinely proud of: invisible bicycle parking that only appears when needed. Using a strong light projection, we mark temporary bike parking spaces in the evening hours, right when the demand peaks.
It’s subtle, effective, and smart. No physical racks, no visual clutter during the day—just guidance when it matters. Once installed, the system runs for years with virtually no maintenance. We've implemented it in both Amsterdam and Delft, and the results are clear: people park better when the space tells them how.
It’s a great example of how small, tech-driven nudges can solve real-world problems and make cycling in cities even easier.
